Major Update! So Mayor Jones and I have set up a disaster relief effort for the Veteran's Day Tornado that hit us. An email correspondence has been made through town hall with hopes of allowing everyone affected with housing vouchers, food, and clothing. The email is: civilreliefprogram@rotboroughweb.com. Hi everyone, I'm devastated to see and hear what happened over the weekend. The weather report seemed to be giving us conflicting information. And to anyone affected by this horrible bout of inclement weather, I'd like to personally apologize. We managed to raise in just a short 2 days $12,000 for our troops, but sadly it seems as though we'll just have to postpone the gala until next year (hopefully weather permitting!) Hello all, I'm excited to announce a new collaborative project brought to you by me and Mayor Jones! (As well as maybe something of a new annual tradition). This Veteran's Day I'd like to invite you to the 1st Annual Veteran's Fundraising Gala! Now I know what you're asking. (WHAT TOOK YA SO LONG?) Well this past week I met a very inspirational man, a former veteran and retired police officer, and unfortunately homeless man, named Bruce. And his heartbreaking and epic life story inspired me to take matters into my own hands. (TAKE THAT WASHINGTON!) The crisis our heroes face when they return home from their service is something that has always bothered me. And so it is with this fundraiser I invite you all to show your support and allow our heroes, like Bruce, to live the life they deserve. The event takes place Saturday November 9th at the Progress Pavilion in ballroom 1. Doors open at 7PM. And ticket prices will start at $15. From the bottom of my heart let me just say, I'm humbled and grateful to have received such incredible feedback from all of you. So after all the fan fare finally subsided I've officially been hired at *drumroll PLEASE!* The Civic Development Department of Rotborough Town Hall. And who is it I'll be serving? YOU! :) Yeah so hey, I'm Luke, and I'm Rotborough's New Civil Engineer! Why don't we get to know ourselves? So I love this town, I love the people, I love who we are and what we share. And I want to give this place – My home – The love I believe it deserves, so I want to try a radical and insanely new (and if you'll pardon the informality) COOL way to do just that! That being with this website. Why wait in line or do something boring like file a complaint with town hall when you can tell ME directly? Yep, we're cutting out the middle man! Sorry to all the secretaries and clerks out there! See something you want fixed? Great. Tell ME. Does your street need to be repaved? Great. Tell ME. Zoning restrictions making your DIY a nightmare? Great. TELL ME… This is just one of the revolutionary ideas I have installed (no pun intended) as your new civil engineer! Together, we can make Rotborough the utopia of the midwest!
